Over the last 10 years, Aster Venture Capital's team has gained deep knowledge about the evolution of major global technology trends and built a network in MENA region. Importantly, by leveraging its network, the Fund is able to compare and contrast the variability in adopting these trends across target markets. As a result, the Fund's team has deep insight and vast experience in formulating new investment ideas
Selecting the Right Sector
The Fund's existing emerging and developed markets network platform allows to screen 50-100 potential portfolio companies every month. The goal is to hand pick the best companies to approach early and follow their progress
Selecting the Right Company
One of the challenging parts of the Fund's investment strategy is keeping up-to-date with valuation multiples across different sectors and geographies. The team analyses valuation and deal multiples across different sectors and geographies. The Fund can use this data to create a pricing map across countries and technology sectors. This tool will also be valuable when exiting investments or raising subsequent rounds of financing.
Stage and sector focus
Aster Venture Capital will pursue investments into technology-focused companies across all stages of business development life cycle: from the highly opportunistic (seed), early stage businesses to more developed, but high-growth, businesses (series A) across all target sub-sectors on the 3rd close. Co-investment with other venture funds is one of the Fund's priorities
